Fitbit pedometer service is running

For the last couple of weeks my android phone pops up with a notification about Fitbit pedometer service is running, has anyone else experienced this? I tried to reinstall the app and grant some locations permission and since then the notification has said that the Fitbit pedometer service is denied and my android gives me a notification about the Fitbit app tapping my battery.

@SunsetRunner , A warm welcome to the Community ! Thank you for your message. 

The message you get, is when the Fitbit app is running on the background and you have MobileTrack active. 

MobileTrack will record your steps using the information gotten from your phone. 

To remove MobileTrack, just tapp on your profile picture. 

You'll see the services and devices paired to your account. 

Tapp on MobileTrack and remove it.
