The last couple of weeks on and off, my Fitbit is showing significant exercise calorie burn during times when I’m not even active. I woke up this morning with already active minutes totalling to 650 calories. How is this possible when I’m dormant? I checked and it showed active calorie burn of around 60 calories every hour when I was asleep. It also happened last week when I was at an event and had a couple rounds of applause “clapping” and my Fitbit recorded this as exercise burn of 600 calories. Even in the last hour, sitting down having tea & watching tv with my husband, which is fairly sedentary, my Fitbit said I burned 90 calories. This seems concerning. I reset and erased my Fitbit. Is there something wrong with me or is it the device? This never happened in the few years I’ve had this device.

I have had the same problem since 9/1. Something has changed but support does not have an answer.

Thanks for the reply! At least I know it’s an issue with the device and not with me 😂
