In charge 4, the time shown in the device is always in GMT when I set the timezone in the app to GMT+530 that is IST.

Hi everyone, and a warm welcome to our new members.
Thanks for sharing these details and taking the time to troubleshoot your trackers. I want to share with you that this issue was escalated to our team, and they already got it resolved.
I appreciate your patience and if you continue seeing the wrong time, I'd suggest opening the Fitbit app and pulling down on the Today screen to force a sync.

I have done everything suggested, literally everything, (deleting the app, re-stating factory settings)but the time is still 3 hours ahead. Clearly the problem is with the fitbit app. Please verify and urgently correct this problem

Yes what Mr Satheesh reports is correct. From 2pm indian time today, I too have only GMT as time on my watch. Any number of time you change it through location and time zone it remains unchanged. But, when I change it to NY time, it changes.

One funny finding is... I changed my Location and time zone to NY. It works fine. But when I again changed it to India and Kolkatta time, it shows GMT. Whoever does the code changes, please test it wholesome, please.

Just for this I have to go to NY. I will try.

In addition to that my fitbit seems to be very hungry and eats away my
exercise hours. I have already reported that. After all those entries were
posted after exercise and I was quite hungry, but the app too is hungry, it
seems. I am a bit angry too. But no one seems to be angry at fitbit's end.
