What do other people do to make their treadmill count their steps when they must hold onto the rails. What does a person with a disability do?

My friend and I go for walks and she pushes her granddaughter in the stroller and he watch doesn't catch her steps, so she straps it to her shoes.  This doesn't measure her heartbeat, unfortunately but If you wanted to do that, you could maybe find a way to attach it to your body somewhere, maybe down by your ankle.

Thanks very much. That’s really the only thing I can think of that might do it. I saw an idea to put it in your pocket but they said you had to take the strap off for that and I don’t want to do that every day.
