Using OSmaps app my hike route included over 2000 feet climb. Fitbit registered just over 100 floors. What’s wrong?

In my experience in general with various fitibts over the years, you need to go up the amount of a floor within a short time frame for it to count. So like on normal stairs, if you stop half way for a moment then continue up, it won't count.

 

While I have a Charge 2, I haven't made any attempts to actually test this on this particular model, but that is how it was on previous versions (that I ddi make a point to test.).

Thanks for that idea, maybe I need to climb more smoothly! Interestingly my old Fitbit One was pretty accurate on altitude gained.
