Ok, so I killed a 30 minute run on my lunch break and then proceeded to record the following hour of seated office work. I forgot to press the stop recording button. I have done this so many times in the past, and I can't be the only one this has happened too!
My ideal solution would be to remove the last hour recorded, while still saving my stats from running in the first 30 minutes. If this is an option now, I haven't been able to figure it out. It seems I am forced to choose to leave this inaccurate recording as is, or delete it all together.
Does this happen to anyone else!? I would love to hear any suggestions.

Go to your app. Track Exercise, select the session in question, select the three dots at the top right of the screen, select Edit Exercise Details, and adjust the end time. . .

I don't have 3 dots... the only thing I can change is the type of workout.

Mary, if you have a pencil icon at the upper right, that will get you the Edit Exercise screen if you are using a computer--not sure about phones.

@SunsetRunner yes you are correct but I tried that option and can only edit the name of the workout not the times or distance - which is why I missed that option out - can you do this on other options other then the actual Exercise workout - I know you cannot edit anything with treadmill or run and its the same on the mobile platform for me you only get the option at the moment to edit the name and in both instances you can only change it it the once,
Kind Regards

Wayne, here is what I get in a Windows 10 computer when I click on the pen icon:
You're right, you can't enter a different distance.
BTW, I have now reviewed the reference to your "other post" earlier and learned some new ways to log, change or delete exercises. Thank you very much for that. That's where I also learned that your earlier instruction to click the "3 dots" is true for IOS phones which I suspected.
Everyone on here appreciates the accurate and helpful information you have been posting on the Forums and take this as my official "Welcome".

My 3 dots only allow me to delete, not edit. (Fitbit Charge 2)

My Charge 2 only says Export to TCX file or Delete.
I went under the exercise tab that says 4 out of 5 days. Then I also tried going to the workout to edit like you explained by selrcting the zone min. Which took me to the same place. Tell me the distance pace, etc. But shows 3hrs + for "my run" that was actually only 30 min.

Looks like the only thing you can do is delete it and try to log it manually. It's unbelievable that you cannot edit your excercises - bordering on comical. People will forget, on occasion, to stop tracking an activity and need to edit this. Samsung solves this by auto pausing when it doesn't detect movement and then vibrates to get your attention. Fitbit just keeps recording forever...

If you do that you lose the heart rate data. It would be great if @Fitbit would just add an edit option.

Well, according to higher up in this thread they did have an option on the PC but took it away. Because "progress" I guess. I work in software and we haven't taken away as many almost useless features as people in Silicon Valley take away essential features from people all the time.

You are correct. I noticed the heart rate data is lost when doing this. So the solution is for Fitbit to add a reminder or something (seems pretty simple to me) to call out that the exercise is still running but the band is not detecting motion (like Samsung does).

Hi I managed to edit the exercise down to 30 mins, but still have too high an active minutes and calorie reading - it’s assigned me 43 zone minutes & 309 calories for an hour when I was making lunch! - any ideas?
