Frozen screen on fitbit 2 charge

Hi.My fitbit charge 2 has been working brilliantly until 2 nights ago when all of a sudden the screen froze while I was asleep. The green lights were still flashing but whenever I clicked the button or tapped the screen the same frozen image showed up of the time/date and my steps etc. I tried to reset it however this didnt work, so I unpaired it from my phone in hopes that might kickstart it, however that didnt work either. I have let the battery drain and when I plugged it into the charge it just showed up with the same screen again, it didnt even show the battery charging symbol. I tried to reset it again and it still didnt work. When I try to reset it it vibrates after approx 8 secs, then it displays the same message and then goes blank. When you press the button on the side it dislays the same message again. I have tried cleaning the charging contact points as directed in other posts but this doesn't change anything. i would appreciate some help please!. Thanks

Hey @KieranCoyne, let me give you a warm welcome to the Forums! I'm sorry to hear about the damage to the display of your Charge 2. On the other hand, I appreciate the time that you have taken to try to solve this issue. Since the screen doesn't turn on, I urge you to take a look at your inbox so you can get further assistance.

Let me know how it goes!

Im having the same issue.  I have had the frozen screen for over a month but it still tracks.  I love the app but have had problems with the devices themselves.  I had the first HR Charge and the backing broke so I had to be creative when attaching the charger.  I really loved this one and now its broken too. I tried the resets unsuccessfully also.   I just called tech support and was told it cant be fixed. Ive had it for 2 years so the only thing they could do was offer me a discount on another device.  It felt like a slap in the face.  Im a loyal customer and expect my purchases to last longer than 2 years. I refuse to buy another fitbit device just to have this happen again.  It really sucks because I really love the app.    😕😡
