Had a problem months ago with tracking my runs. Fitbit constantly coming up short they fixed the problem after about 2 months. Most recently I had the problem with text messages that so many others had, unable to see them. After many of us going back and forth with them they finally fixed that after quite some time. But now I find that the GPS is wrong again. I know the routes I take when running I know how many miles, I've been doing this for years. I checked everything on my Fitbit even my stride yet here I am once again being short changed by Fitbit. Is it too much to ask to have the thing work for longer than a month or 2 before something else goes wrong after one of your updates?? I think it's seriously time to shop around for something else.

This is happened with mine and fitbit are aware of this problem. They keep saying they are working on an update.
This has been happening since Aug and still nothing.
Just out of curiosity do you have strava installed on phone?

I have both fitbit and strava aps on my Android S7. I noticed a month or so ago that runs I'd completed many times were showing the wrong amount with fitbit. For comparison sake, I did a run last weekend where I recorded the run with Strava, started manually on the phone, and fitbit, started on my charge 2. After I was done I compared them and Strava said I ran 5.17 miles and Fitbit said it was 4.06 miles. I run the same routes all the time and I know that the Strava amount was correct. The wrong amount is also recorded if I start recording the run or walk on the ap on my phone rather than with the charge 2. How do I fix this?

Yeah I have the same issues
Ive unpaired fitbit to strava, deleted and reinstalled app, restarted charge 2 and still having the issue
No idea whats causing this and neither do fitbit.
My charge 2 is over 2 years and fitbit dont really care about me!!!
I was thinking of upgrading before this to the versa 2, but this has lost all my faith in Fitbit. So i think its time to move over to Garmin and look at their watches.

I glad, but sorry, to see that I'm not alone with this issue. I've noticed that triggering the app from my Charge 2 and running it directly gives two very differing results. I have a regular route and I get varying distances on it. The routes is 5.68 miles and today my it logged 4.17, GPS gives 5.76 mile, my Google timeline gives 5.5 miles and my OS Maps is spot-on. I know, having measured the route out!
I've followed all the Fitbit directions even resetting my mobile back to factory default. I'm also looking to change because the current error margin is starting to hit 25%. An unacceptable error margin.
I've also chatted with work colleagues who do track events who are finding a 2K run is coming at 1.2K. Not good!
