It's nice to see you around the forums @SunsetRunner! Please make sure your tracker is not currently on the "Do Not Disturb" mode by pressing down the button on the side for 2 seconds, a vibration and a message will let you know if "Do Not Disturb" has been turned on or off.

If you have any other tracker or if you have already tried this, please go to your phone settings and make sure "Do Not Disturb" is disabled, then go to Notifications > Fitbit and make sure the following is enabled:

  • Allow Notifications.
  • Show in Notification Center
  • Show on Lock Screen.

If you make sure about that, but the text notifications are still not working, I'd like to suggest you to please follow these steps in order to reset Notifications on your phone and tracker:

- Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and tap on Charge 2. Then tap on Forget this Device.

- Force-close the Fitbit app by double tapping the home button on your phone and swiping up the app.

- Open the app again and tap on Account > Charge 2 > Notifications. You will receive the following Pop-up:

 - Then, once you tap on Set Up, the app will begin setting up your tracker with the Bluetooth on your phone, which will prompt the next pop-up

  • BTPairing2.jpg

- Tap on Pair.

Once the process is finished you can go back and tap on Account > Charge 2 > Notifications and select the ones you'd like to receive.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else! Smiley Wink

Just went through live chat to solve this issue only to have them tell me it's an issue they are aware of and there is no estimated time for the resolution.  I have always been a huge FitBit fan, but for the money spent on this latest one, I will return it and buy something that is reliable with better customer service.  Honestly, FitBit should be ashamed that is their answer to the notifications being an issue rather than trying to find a real resolution.  Not even an apology....sad.

I finally got my text notifications working on my Fitbit versa 2. IPhone   Setting, notifications, messages . Notification Center has to be checked. After trying everything else that fixed mine....

I just had this problem with my iPhone 8 today. I went through every possible step I could find to try and fix the issue. On my iPhone,  I ended up going into settings, notifications, messages and turning the toggle on for “show previews”. I had it turned off initially and now that I turned it on, I’m getting texts to my Fitbit.

Finally, something that works. I spoke to Fitbit for over an hour one day troubleshooting and nothing worked. Most of the suggestions were obvious about notifications being on, or resetting the devices. I thought it was my device so I bought a new one. Got the new one and it had the same problem. I am so glad I found your solution. Thank you.
