Does anybody know where I can find a list of the notifications the Fitbit charge 2 gives you? I have been getting random messages on my Fitbit that are not texts (from my phone) and just wondering if that is normal. And they are not the normal "remember to move" notifications. Just looking for a list I can compare to. Thanks!

Hey @EsaB, it is nice to see new faces around! Let me ask you a couple of things. What type of messages are you getting? 'Cause on the Charge 2 itself, the messages that you have the option to receive are the text messages if you have and iPhone or calendar notifications. Now, when you take off your Charge 2 and you don't wear it for at least a couple of hours, your tracker will show like cheer messages. You can also add an own message and it will appear when you take it after a while inactive. The same happens when you unplug the Fitbit from the charging cable. These are the other type of messages that it receives, so I'd like you to let me know if these are the ones that you are getting.
If you have further questions, feel free to keep me posted!

Hi there,
Thanks for responding! I am getting things like "How are you doing?", "Today is the day", "hello". Weird stuff that are NOT text messages, as they have no name or number attached and never appear on my phone. Just trying to get down to the bottom of it. Thanks!

Thanks for getting back to me @EsaB! As you mentioned, no, those aren't text messages. But I'm pretty sure that these messages come from the "Chatter" option, which are nothing but the cheer messages that your Charge 2 displays after not wearing your tracker for at least an hour along with the personalized greeting that you can modify through your Fitbit account. If you don't want it, you can deactivate this option by going to your Fitbit account > Tapping on "Charge 2" > Then you'll see the option "Chatter" so disable it and then don't forget to sync your Charge 2 to save the changes.
Let me know how it goes!

I'm getting random messages too. Just got one there. I love you but you don't love me and a number after it...... a bit unnerving really.

Hey @Mhuirthuile, welcome aboard! Oh! The one you mentioned, sounds like a text message from some unknown person, more than a message from "Chatter", the option that gives you random/funny messages after you stop wearing your Charge 2 for more than an hour. So let me suggest you something, please try to deactivate this option on your Fitbit account, then sync your tracker and let's see if those type of messages won't appear again. To do so, go to your Fitbit account > Click on the "gear icon" > "Tap display" > uncheck "Chatter".
Let me know how it goes!

I'm suddenly seeing something very similar to this on my Android GS20+. Under Notifications on the app, I see one set of push notifications, and *7* sets of email notifications (which is also weird but I do have a lot of gmail accounts 🙂 but only one is used for the Charge 2, of course. I suddenly saw a previously unknown to me notification on the Charge 2 that showed the time surrounded by "stars", which was repeated about 2-3 minutes after, but with no other message. I initially thought they might be texts, but I don't have that account set up for texting, unless it's some auto thing. I have no calendar events for that account either, and got no actual emails to it either.
This doesn't appear to be a "cheer" message, since it only shows the time, but appreciate any thoughts.
(PS a few minutes later). I just looked at the app again and now I don't see those 7 sets of email notifications, just the correct single set. I also don't see a gear or anywhere I can remove the "chatter" setting.
TIA
Elaine
