Green light extremely bright

Hi,

My Fitbit Charge HR suddenly started behaving very wierd.

The green lights are no longer flashing, as they used to before. They are constanly shining, and they are exstremely bright.

I can't turn them off. I've tried turning them off from the device settings, and I have tried turning the device itself on and off. It does not work.

The fitbit gets very warm, and the battery gets drained very quickly after I take it out of the charger.

Does anyone have any tips here? I've only had the fitbit for 6 months.

Thanks!

Hi @malinhelene its great to see new members around the Community!

This sounds pretty weird the fact that worries me the most is the fact that is the heart rate won't turn off and is getting warm. In this case the best you can do is get in touch directly with Fitbit Support and let them know about this situation. I'm pretty sure they will find the best solution for you.

Let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

Exactly what is going on with mine! December 24, 2017

I don’t think it will even take a charge anymore.

I do know they have the greatest customer service and stand by their product.

After the Christmas Holiday, I’ll give them a call.

Hey @Robwiacek, it is great to see new faces aboard! Robot Happy So your Charge 2 isn't charging anymore?

Now regarding the green lights, have you tried to restart your Charge 2? If you haven't, please give it a try, if after that, the green lights still acting weird, try the following:

- Turn OFF the heart rate monitor

- Sync

- Turn it ON

- Sync again

Keep me posted!

Hey my friend @Robwiacek! Thanks for the clarification. 😉

As you mentioned on your previous posts, did you contact Fitbit Support for additional help? If so, I'd like to know what was their response?

I had the same problem and so did my family members Fitbit. In his case, his fit bit exploded and burn his wrist.

Thank you for that info.  I have the same bright light problem and was concerned that it could be dangerous because it was so extreme.

I know this thread is old, but thought I’d reply here in case anyone is searching with a similar problem. This happened yesterday with my charge 2. The lights didn’t blink, got very bright, very warm, and drained the battery rapidly. I tried all the tricks, I.e. turning heart rate on/off and synching, doing several device resets, and nothing worked. Ultimately I just let the battery fully drain, and let it sit completely off for a couple of hours. Then I recharged it and voila, everything working and back to normal. Hope this helps someone.
