Can I make my tracker record my heart rate every minute or even twice a minute instead of every five? We have a condition in the family called Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, or POTS. I’m looking for a fitness tracker to get my mom that’ll record her heart rate on a minute-to-minute basis so she can better monitor her symptoms.

Hi @Zenon,

It took a little research, but here is how the Charge 2 does heart rate, in terms of frequency:

Memory
  • Stores heart rate data at 1 second intervals during exercise tracking and at 5 second intervals all other times

So if you require checks at 1 second interval, you could start a manual Workout mode, but it sounds like 5 seconds is fine. Please note that the heart rate graphs are averaged and won't show all those plot points as far as I know.

Work out...eat... sleep...repeat!

Here is another discussion about POTS.  Might not add any other information, but you might be interested in reading through it.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I saw that post, but it doesn’t explain how to access those more detailed logs, just the averages.

Thank you! That article was very helpful, but I’m still looking for a way to access the detailed logs.

I like to have detailed information as well. I was able to get another app that is compatible with my fit bit called cardiogram. I have a very irregular heart rate and it seems to even pick up when I have prolonged beats. Or even just a really quick spike. You may want to check it out.
