Received my Charge 2 today and I am having problems with setting it up. I have connected it to the charger but it does not recognise that it is being charged. Nothing coming up in the screen when pressing the button. Anyone have any ideas?

I had the same issue.
Leave it on the charger for a few hours - mine was charging even tho it didn't indicate that.
Then I found when I went into setup it required a firmware update. After that it would show if charging. hth.

Thanks I've tried this and there is still no recognition. Emailed fitbit to see if there is anything else I can do.

@Lisaj30 @CardiganWearer Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! @Lisaj30 you can try cleaning your tracker's contacts with a toothpick or toothbrush then use cotton with rubbing alcohol. After this try restarting your tracker as it could be the display not turning on. To restart your Charge 2 please do the following:
Plug the charging cable to your computer or UL certified wall adapter.
Align the contacts of the tracker with the charging cable and plug it in making sure it snaps securely.
Your tracker should start charging.
Press the button for 10 to 12 seconds.
You should see your tracker's firmware version and you can now unplug your tracker.
@CardiganWearer thank you for your suggestions in this thread.
Let me know how it goes!

I have a similar problem. Tried everything but tracker does not charge. All efforts in vain. Stuck.

Heard back and been told to send it back and they will send a replacement, no other work around im afraid if there's no recognition at all!

How do you press the button while it is in the charger?
I have the same problem, tried plugging the charger into 3 different USB charging reports, tried cleaning the contacts, no sign of the device charging at all. Its been on charge now for well over an hour.
