I purchased the Fitbit Charge 2 last Friday. I am an Apple Watch owner but wanted the Fitbit for better exercise cardio tracking and breakdown. I have found the heart rate to be way off. When my Apple Watch says I am at 124 BPM my Fitbit would say I was at 88. Yesterday at the gym during my warm up, my Apple Watch had my HR at 85 BPM and my Fitbit had me at 184 BPM!!!! I know that there can be some discrepancies among devices but this is more than ridiculous. Is anyone else have problems like this? So far I'm not very impressed with my Charge 2 and thinking of returning it.

Same issue with mine. Tried different community suggestions with no joy. I am hitting 190bpm on many occasions with medium walk. Funny thing is, it will show 160bpm walking down the hill and 110bpm walking up the hill. Useless for me at this point. Hopefully another firmware upgrade on the way. Currently using firmware 22.53.4 Also GPS tracking distance feature is very inaccurate . Real distance 4 km, shows 8 km.

i just bought some tennis wrist bands. i am going to try to wear my fitbit above this writstband to see if i can get it high enough to keep a heat rate. even if i stop for several minutes, it can not track correctly. I am about 140 and my fitbit drops off and shows me at 78

I cleaned the tracker as well as followed some of the other suggestions. Did my usual treadmill workout...heart rate still ridiculously high at times reaching 191! This was walking four miles an hour. Treadmill pules rate says heart rate is 77. That is a huge difference. These false reading have to be effecting my fitness score, etc. Any other suggestions besides calling the manufacturer? My Fitbit has works great for months until now.

Still nothing, trying different ways to ware it.
High up, 180 deg turned, covered under the jacket and exposed.
Heart monitor still inaccurate. Mostly happens after about 5 minutes of initial activity increase.
typically it is between 20-30 bpm off from the real heart rate.
I have used Polar H10 when verifying counters. Also used stopwatch to check manually.
Disappointing. I think I am going to get apple watch but do not want to charge it daily so hoping for some resolution. eh.

Thanks

Same issue - heart rate seems accurate when resting, but as soon as I start running or walking it runs away - increasing steadily to over 180 BPM. Just to make sure, if I take the device off and set it on the table, it continues to record my pulse.

Thanks for the excellent advice! I was wearing my Inspire HR too tight and too high up. My resting heart rate was registering 98 - 113! Now it’s back in its normal range (63-65) 🙂

I just received my Inspire 2. Heart rate monitor is way off. My heart rate is generally around 40 BPM resting because I'm on beta blockers. Fitbit says my resting heart rate is 60 to 80 BPM. I just checked my pulse and my heart rate was 42 BPM.
