I have a medical condition that causes my heart rate to Spike upon sudden changes in my position (i.e. Laying down to sitting to Standing up) I've looked at my watch and it has said over 130/140 several times, but my app isn't registering anything over 120! What's the deal?? By the way this is normal every day activity, no workouts what so ever!

Is it just what is displayed to you or does it record it with higher precision when recording an activity?

I'm not following you @eldavimost your heart rate on the tracker is real time.
On the app it is by seconds during an exercise, I believe normally

I know this is 4 years later, but just in case you’re still looking for solutions, I have POTS too and use the Cardiogram app to monitor real-time heart rate from my Fitbit.

I see this was ages ago. But just to say I have exactly the same issue. And it’s annoying because my Apple Watch would register everything, but since moving to Fitbit it misses out so many spikes in heart rate!

I did not expect to find a POTS community when looking up this issue. Thanks all, you got this!! 💚💚
