Heart rate spike

I have just checked my heart rate on the graph and noticed a spike from 102 to 172. This is odd because I had just woke up and wasn’t doing anything physical. The tracked heart rate then cut out and picked back up at 79 twenty minutes later. Does anyone know if this is a false spike or something to be worried about.

@Lou92 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well!

Let me help you with your heart rate reading on your Charge 2. To discard any accuracy issues I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.

Let me know how it goes.
