How can I make my activity tracker automatically count active minutes without logging it?

Sometimes it colors in a side on my shape and others it doesn’t. Also, sometimes when I manually enter excersise minutes they count and other times it doesn’t.

Mind me asking do you track it on your device, but it's not automatically recording on your app ?

I'm tracking my exercise on my device, but it is not picking it up/recording it on the app...

Yes and no...it tracks the active minutes on the app but doesn’t give me credit on the activity tracker. (It doesn’t highlight a side of the shape.)
