I have a Charge 3, how do I delete the messages I get on the app? Not the notifications (I could care less about those) but the actual messages? There is no swipe option, I have numerous messages from creepy guys asking weird questions and would like them removed.

To clear your notifications, I recommend from the Charge 3 swiping down until you see the "Clear all" message and tap it.

No no - not notifications on Fitbit itself - not notifications in the app
The private messages received from other people - how do I delete those from the app?
