How do I delete old notifications?

Everyday I get notifications telling me that either I need a certain amount of steps to reach my goal, or that I'm an over achiever with so many steps above my daily goal.  That's great, however I now have 198 notifications showing.  How can I delete all these older ones?  Thanks!

In the notification list, swipe left. When I first started, I was sweeping left to see the delete option and then tapping it. I then discovered that if I swept left all the way across right side to left side the notification was deleted. Makes it a much faster process but still has to be done one notification at a time. One person says it works for them and then it doesn’t any more.
Hope it works for you.

I have an android.  When you go to notifications, hold your finger down over the message.  After a few seconds the word delete pops up. Tap on it. Sent from Samsung tablet.

Uyes, one..at..a..time.   Slow process Sent from Samsung tablet.

Yes, it is a slower process than it needs to be. And your process sounds a bit more time consuming than mine. For me it was worth it. I have a blank notifications screen!

I can only help with android.  Go to notifications,  hold you thumb on the message for a few second and the word delete appears. Tap on delete. Can only do one at a time. Slow, but better than nothing.Sent from Samsung tablet.

I’m glad someone provided Samsung information because I had only iPhone info.

It Worked !!!
Thanks for the info..
Only difference is I touch the right side and a delete box comes on at the
bottom with an arrow , touch to delete. One at a time but that's ok. I can
now delete the year old ones and any new ones as I want to one at a time !!
Thanks Again ?! 😊

This didn't work for me.  When I hold the message I get a popup to taunt..  message report.   Nothing about deleting

If you're using an android, like me, don't hold the message, just put your
thumb on the farthest right corner and press down, half my thumb leans on
the phone's edge.

If you're not on an android, the others on this post say "swipe left."

I’m sorry that the fix does not work for you.
Which Fitbit and what smartphone are you using? If you are using an iPhone with a Charge 2, then swiping a notification from the right to the left should either show you a delete option or if you swipe all the way across it should delete it in one motion.
This seems not to work for Android or Samsung smartphones. Someone indicated holding down the circle before the notification on one of those will let you delete. I have never used either of those so cannot speak with any authority about either.

Hi!
As I said I know nothing about Samsung and have never seen a Charge 3 so I don’t know it this will be helpful

I believe this was sent to me by Jogger. He wrote “I have an older Samsung phone I didn’t swipe but pushed and held each message until the delete option appeared at the bottom. Pressed it and they are gone ...”

Again I don’t know if it will help you but it might. I think this is the only reply I received from a Samsung user.

I hope this works for you.

Just checked my notifications and it has about 100. They are all old ones so I am assuming that when I deleted the 145 on my screen, it then displayed others stored there. I will spend more time deleting these and see what happens. I hope no one else had this problem.

Welcome to Fitbit. If there is anything else we can help you with, please let us know. Customer service is our highest priority! Which you can see, by the fact that it took us 4 1/2 years to find a delete button, One notification at a time. Yeah, that makes the last 4 1/2 years, Utterly painful!

... just kidding, but U get the point. 😂
