My co-worker gave me her charge 2. I've set up my account and have tried to do a factory reset with no luck. Can someone please give me some directions because I am super excited to start using it.

@ZionsWay You do not have to do any type of reset. Once you set up and add the tracker to your account, it will start over with your information.

@ZionsWay Do you have the Fitbit App downloaded on your phone? If so, and you are logged in, you should see an "Account" tab on the bottom. Click that, then you should see "Set up a Device". From there it will walk you through the steps. (I am an iOS user, but imagine the Android app should be very similar)

Hello,
I have tried setting up my handed down charge 2 without any luck using all the suggestions. Restarting the Bluetooth, logging in and out of my Fitbit app on my iPhone, and deleting and reinstalling the app. What else would you suggest I do to try to get it to find the Charge 2 on my app?

Who handed it down to you @PacificGirl? Is the device that they synced through nearby, and have they removed the Charge 2 from tyeir bluetooth settings screen?

I got it from my neighbor when he got a new Apple Watch. He did log out out with the charge but he wasn't in the vicinity when he did it. Does that matter?

Your neighbor needs to remove the Charge 2 from his Bluetooth settings screen. This is so you dont get his notifications.
Are you using the app to setup the Charge 2, and at what step does it fail. Any error messages?

How do I set my fitbit2 uo

First step is to mqkemsure the last user did one last sync before handing it over to you. This will clear their step data, etc from the Charge 2. If not you may get a few days of data.
You might want to read the setup guide found through the help link below.
.
Next go to http://www.fitbit.com/setup through the device that you want to use.
This will direct you to the correct Fitbit software.
You want to install and run the software.
Don't choose create but simply log in to your Fitbit account.
Now perform the add device, and follow the prompts.
If you need more help, please include the device that is being used to setup the tracker .

I have same problem with Charge 2 previously used by my wife. After trying to pair on app with Samsung A5 it got most of way there (after the 4 digits, said Connecting....) then gave an error. Support eventually said phone not supported. So now I've tried going back to get it to sync with my wife's phone (that had worked for her!!) and I get the same problem with syncing, after almost succeeding. Then I tried with Fitbit Connect on my MacBook Pro and also get past where the digits are accepted and it says Connecting.... but eventually it asks me to try again. We've uninstalled app, turned off phones and computer and Bluetooth, but not managed to get it to sync.

Welcome to the community @Mumnson have you removed the tracker from your phone, I'm not referring to your Fitbit account, but the list of trusted devices on the phones Bluetooth list.
As for setting it up on your son's phone, at what step of the setup process and do you get any errors?
Since I'm not familiar with the iOS I'll point you to the hello docs. It would also be good to edit the title to include iPhone or iOS.
