@Lainie92  You can't.  But this is what I do -- I charge my Fitbit while I am in the shower and getting dressed.  You aren't supposed to wear it in the shower, so it is a win-win.  The number of steps not tracked is low in the big scheme of things.

If I want to "recapture" those steps, I just need to put it back on while I blow dry my hair.  The arm movement is good for 100 steps.  Easy.

Actually you can if you have the app on your phone. Click the exercise tile and then the little stopwatch icon at the top and then the red arrow and it will not only count your steps but will also map out your course.  When you're done hit the 'Pause" button then hold down the "Finish' button. I do it all the time when my tracker is charging.

You can track your steps through your device if you have the blaze or the Ionic and put the device in your purse or pocket while charging. I’ve done this enough that I’ve actually put the device in my purse, left my phone in the car and went shopping. It tracked steps the entire time. Just not sure how accurate it is but I ran into Target for a bit and it tracked about 1000 steps which is average for me when shopping in there.
