How long Did Your Charge 2 Last?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Short answer for me.... a little over two years.

My tracker stopped "being found" by bluetooth devices about a week ago, and now it no longer quickly vibrates when starting/stopping an activity or the stop watch, and the heart rate is reading "0". I'm still alive though.

Fitbit offered me a discount off a new device, time for a Charge 3 I guess.

Two years....then blank screen. No fix helped. Sigh

I've had mine about 2 1/2 yrs.  I do have to charge it somewhat more frequently these days but not bad.  I also have to flip my blutooth off and on again occasionally to get the stats to register on the phone app.   It's a great device though and I'll definitely stick with Fitbit when this one dies.

My Charge 2 is doing the same thing.  I got it last May so it didn't last a year.

Actual use only 4 months. Sitting in its box for last 9 months until a few days ago. Will not charge at all. I think it was a know defect that Fitbit refuses to acknowledge. They keep sticking to their "warranty" is up and nothing we can do BS

Received mine in July 2016, I'll update this id the tracker does fail.

@CallMeMrBill  did you contact Fitbit 9 months ago? A lithium battery left below 30% charge will quickly be destroyed.

My Charge 2 is not tracking for heart rate nor steps and distance accurately after about 2 years. Please let me know if you purchased a Charge 3 and your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

This is my third one to die at almost exactly one year.  The first one stopped working screen went blank.  Second one had a cracked face like many others on here mention.  Third won't sync and won't display anything but battery indicator or logo.  I wish there was some alternative other than Apple watch.  I don't think I can bring myself to buy a 4th charge.  None of the support options work.  Have sent an email, twitter dm and posted here.  the chat function page is down.  And help desk doesn't answer.  So frustrating!

It is frustrating to like the idea of having a device like Fitbit but knowing that feedback / data at some point becomes unreliable. I hope another product will achieve what Fitbit accomplished but with the kind of support that gives users more confidence in their purchase. It's a device that is as personal as it gets since it involves many aspects of health issues. Thanks for your input because I need to rethink another purchase.

It appears two years is the popular answer. My Charge2, just on Sunday (June 23, 2019), started only holding a charge for 30 minutes at the most. I have read several similar threads and some of the fixes are, to be frank, silly. Turn off all the functionality I currently am using, that used to last 5 days, so it will last longer?! That's not a good answer...be up front Fitbit...if two years is the life span then so be it...but tell us. I love my Fitbit and if I need another then fine, that's the way it is. BUT, if there really is something wrong with our devises that are crapping out after two years then let us know that too, and that you are trying to figure out why. Thanks.

Update: Since posting these questions about the battery life and my Charge2...all of a sudden (mmmmmm....really) it is now functioning as it did before.  This behavior went on for 4 days. And all of a sudden it is taking and holding a charge. I smell a rollback of an update...and if that is what fixed it then YAY!!  Thanks Fitbit.

Mine didn't make it that long with the same problems. Tried to get help, and was disconnected on live chat. now I can't even get live chat to come up. Guess I'll buy a $20 generic one on Ebay . If I have to buy 7 of them in a year, I'm still ahead. Guess a warranty is only as good as the company behind it.

My charge 2, soon to be 3 years old, is still going strong and have given it to my niece.

First one about 14 months and then the screen cracked.  Second one about 15 months and then the screen cracked.

There will not be a third one.
