Thank you very much for your post I was able to solve my correct time problem, I have just been on holiday to the Canaries and my Charge 2 advanced an hour when we arrived even though there is no time difference and unfortunately didn't reset on my return, but I have followed your instructions and reset it, 😊😊

Hard to do, Pat, since the Charge 3 hasn't even been announced yet! However, I assume you meant Charge 2 and you go to the Fitbit.com Dashboard and click on the Gear Icon at the upper right and then on Settings. Scroll down to Timezone, set it correctly and then scroll on down to Submit. Click on that and then sync your tracker.

The time on your Fitbit device may be wrong after you travel to a different time zone or when clocks change for Daylight Savings.
Sync your Fitbit device to see the correct time. For more information, see How do Fitbit devices sync their data? How do I fix the time on my Fitbit device?
If you changed time zones and the time on your device is still incorrect after syncing, make sure the time zone setting is correct.
- Fitbit app for iOS
- From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon (

- Tap Advanced Settings.
- Under Time Zone, turn off the Set Automatically option.
- Tap Time Zone and select the correct time zone.
- Sync your Fitbit device.

None of this worked. I can't force quit, it just closes the app. I can't restart the charge 2 as I don't have an on/off button. I am getting so frustrated that I don't even want this anymore. It never kept the correct and the only thing I can do is count my steps. What a waste of $100.

Hello @SunsetRunner the restart procedure is spelled out in the user manual and in the help docs.
How do I restart my Fitbit device?
Im not sure what phone you have but if it is an Android, you will need to go into the pines settings, apps, Fitbit, kill app. Swiping off of the screen only closes part of the program?
May I ask what the problem is?

Awesome 👍 solution, but I did have to tweak mine because I did have my last name BUT didn't have Country, State and City on website login. Once I did that and refreshed Voila it worked! Thank you! 😀
