How to manually log exercise on charge 2?

I have a charge 2 and an iPhone 8 with IOS 12 and the most updated Fitbit app. Since the charge 2 isn’t swim proof I wanted to manually log my swimming. But I don’t see an option to do that in the app. Other answers I’ve seen on here have said to log with the exercise tab but I don’t see it. Where should I be looking? Thanks!

Note, there is a new version of the fitbit phone app being rolled out.  If the instructions  don't seem to match, that might be the reason.  If that is the case, you could use the instructions for adding from the fitbit.com dashboard.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
