Hi I'm hoping someone can help! I know there was a way but can't find it in my Android app. I want to turn off auto sync as its ruining my battery life when my bluetooth is on for my headphones to be connected to my phone?

You're right - there was a way to turn it off but Fitbit now say:
"To improve your experience with notifications, syncing, and firmware updates, we removed the option to turn off all-day sync from the Fitbit app on Android phones. When your phone is near your Fitbit device with Bluetooth turned on, it periodically syncs with the Fitbit app to update your stats and download available firmware updates. More frequent syncing rarely, if ever, noticeably decreases your device’s battery life. To learn more about what factors affect battery life"

Those **ahem**!! It DOES DRAIN MY BATTERY!!! I want that back! And I contacted them and all they kept replying was tests for my battery. They didn't even admit that they had removed the manual sync.option. I'm pissed off. Next time I will buy an apple watch. I dont appreciate being lied.to by support. 🤬 I have already cancelled my premium membership because of this. Ridiculous.

I'm extremely pissed as well. For one it does drain the battery and for other reasons I don't want my fitbit to auto sync all day. Then he says the did it for Android only. What kind of BS is that.
I've been buying fitbit after fitbit constantly since 2007 and this is the last one. The equipment is crappy as hell as does not last now they take away a feature so many of us used and loved the option to use it. Yes I too will be transitioning to another option

I am so disappointed about Fitbit doing this. Like you, I've been using them for years and did my research on the Versa to get the most battery life so I didn't have to take it off all the time to charge since I like getting my sleep data and am very active during the day. I finally found that turning auto sync off gave me a full week between charges vs the daily charging I had done prior. Now I am back to daily or every other day charging and it's driving me crazy. If Fitbit wants to make the experience that unuser friendly, I'll happily find a different product with a better battery life.

That is horrid. So, I'll have to disable this on my phone and use my iPad exclusively. Poor choice on your part.

This is terrible! It ABSOLUTELY drains the battery faster, I am noticing that I need to charge mine about 2-3 days sooner than the manual option. Bring back the manual option Fitbit!!!

This is very frustrating. Fitbit needs to let it be the users choice whether they want to auto sync or not. I now turn my Bluetooth off in order to preserve the battery life. It absolutely drains the battery quicker. Fitbit, you better figure this out because you will lose customers.

This is freaking awful. My fitbit is dying every other day at best. I don't want all day sync on. I don't want to have to charge this thing every day. Unbelievable. Bring back control to users.

In a word, well actually three...FitBit you stink! This is my phone NOT YOURS! I get to decide if I am going to let your device and app drain my battery or not. YOU DON'T! Poor and inconsiderate decisions like this will certainly influence my decision to move to another product and will keep me from recommending FitBit any longer. I really don't care what your talking points are on this. AGAIN...IS NOT YOUR PHONE and you should not be hijacking my battery capacity.
Give me back the ability to control when YOUR APP synchs with MY DEVICE on MY PHONE. Talk about the heavy hand of a corporation. GEEZ!!!!!

Mine does not last a day. This will probably be it for me with fitbit if they do no change back

I’d guess the decision to remove the choice of the user whether to manually sync or not (and surround you with constant perpetual bluetooth signals) is brought to you by its parent company Google. I don’t know, i just don’t trust them. Considering moving to another app and device

I am really frustrated that fitbit took away the ability to turn off auto sync. My battery doesn't last as long as before.

Wow, Fitbit telling us how we should use our devices. No surprise.
