Hi there,
My Charge 2 is no longer tracking distance properly. For example, I ran two miles today and the tracker showed the correct route but recorded the distance at 0.5 miles. This is definitely incorrect as I've run the same 2 mile route with no issues in the post.
I've noticed this a few times recently, particularly since the app updated. I've tried unpairing and pairing the fitbit and a uninstall/reinstall of the app with no luck. Any other suggestions?

Hi @hazzell_a, welcome to the Community Forums!
I appreciate the details that were shared in your post, thanks for troubleshooting this situation prior to posting too. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which mobile device you're currently using to sync your device? Also, this discrepancy inconvenience is experienced with any GPS-tracked activity or just with Run? How many times you experienced this? In the meantime I receive your answers, please try the following steps:

Hi,
This has happened at least three times using the watch to record a run. It happened a couple of times tracking a bike ride although now isn't tracking them at all. I have a Sony xperia xz premium on android version 9. The app version is up to date.
I've already tried uninstalling the app, restarting my phone and reinstalling it again. However, I've just given it another go to see if it makes any difference for my run tomorrow. I'll update once I know whether this has resolved the issue.

Hi, I am having the same issue with inaccurate distances when tracking a run. The path is mapped correctly but the reported distance is wrong. The last run which was recorded accurately was on 15 September and all since then have been out by up to 1.5k over a 6k distance. Most times my fitbit is underestimating the distance but once overestimated by 0.5k.
I have my fitbit paired to a Samsung Galaxy S9. My wife has also started having the same problem in the last week and has her Charge 2 paired to a Galaxy S10.
We've tried resetting the fitbits and reinstalling apps with no improvement.
Would be good to get this solved because it is causing the pace to be reported incorrectly when running which is one of the main features I use the fitbit for.
Thanks.

@RicardoFitbit another run where the distance showing from my fitbit is different to that showing in my Google fit tracking. Is this an issue that has no fix? If fuji, it would put me off upgrading to another Fitbit as accurately tracking exercise was previously my favourite feature.

I'm having the same problem. First noticed it when my usually sub 7 min/km pace went up to over 9 min/km run. At first I thought I was just having a bad day. However 2 weeks ago I took part in a 10k run and my charge 2 only recorded 7.4km. My 2k run earlier today was recorded as only 1.5km despite the map being accurate. I am linked to a galaxy s8 also. Is this Fitbit's way of getting us to buy new devices?

I've been having the exact same issue for around a month now, my Fitbit is reporting on average around 25% under each distance I run so making the stats and splits useless. This afternoon I did one of my usual 5 mile runs wearing my partner's Garmin as well as my Charge 2. The Garmin reported 5 miles and Fitbit said 4.1! Really annoying.
