I’ve noticed that since I updated the firmware for my Charge 3, my heart readings are about 5-7 beats per minutes higher than they were prior to the update. It’s like all readings are ticked up by 5-7 beats, which in turn, increases the resting heart rate calculation. For the most part, the heart rate reading works, but just higher.
Before people comment that maybe it’s my health, it is not. I had an Alta HR before I switched to the Charge 3, so I started wearing the Alta for a test and my HR reads lower/ what I consider normal for me with the Alta. My Charge 3 had been in line before the firmware update. It’s only after that I see consistently higher readings. I’ve tried restarting the device multiple times, but it hasn’t helped. Anyone else have this issue?

Mine is the same. It’s now recording active minutes when I’m sitting as my resting heart rate is now so high. I’ve also checked and it’s definitely not my heart beating faster. I’ve tried to contact support but no reply as yet.

I’ve also noticed odd things with step count. Like it’s counting more steps than I’m actually taking. Monday through Friday I’m in my home office, so I’m not actively moving around all that much. I get up from my desk and move regularly but in the past it hasn’t generated as many steps as it does now since the firmware update. I’d really love to know the details of what was adjusted with the firmware. I want my “old” Charge 3 back!
