I have been getting inflated stats on my Charge 3 and would appreciate any suggestions to resolve this.
This morning it recorded 9,000 steps in a 15 minute period when I would have done about 500. This was matched by high calorie stats.
The stats regularly show a very high step count, as if it hadn't reset from the previous day, sometimes several days. It reverts to the actual daily count on synchronising. I even received the much valued Olympian Sandal badge for 100,000 steps in day - very grateful for that, but certainly not deserved!
Moderator edit: updated subject for clarity.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Burdekn. Thanks for reporting the stats you see on your Charge 3.
What kind of activity did you perform when you got the 9,000 steps? Were you active at that time? How long has this been happening? Do you have registered steps when you wake up? Is the time correct on your device?
Keep on visiting the forums.

When I registered the 9000 steps, i had just completed a short walk, about 500 steps in all, very low level exercise! Time and date on the device are correct.
When I wake up I normally have close to zero steps. However on occasions, as mentioned, it doesn't seem to have reset from the previous days and I have a very high number of steps, often more than the previous day, probably steps accumulated over several days, and in one instance crediting me with over 100,000 steps - the Olympian Sandal badge arrived about 5 minutes before the watch reset itself to the correct figure.

I have experienced something similar. I have had a significant increase in steps recorded vs. actual movement though mine doesn't revert with sync. This began on May 20 and has persisted. This has been most noticeable during work hours, while I am sitting at the computer and only moving to get lunch/drinks. Work activity (and therefore arm activity) has not changed, but at the end of the day I have twice+ the usual number of steps. Steps gained in evening walks tend to be more rapid too and I hit my 10K step goal in fewer active minutes. Using my daughter's Fitbit as point of comparison, I'm getting about 20% more steps than she, on the same route. Our stride length and pace/steps are about the same. I thought perhaps this was related to an app update but can't find any information on that. Please advise. Is there a reset I can do to improve accuracy?
