Hey @shrutigupta12, welcome to the Community! This phone model, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, isn't on the compatible devices list yet, however, that doesn't mean that it won't work at all with Fitbit trackers. If you already have a Charge 2 and you'd like to set it up with this phone model, but you seem to have issues with it, I suggest you to take a look at the troubleshooting in this help article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? And if you were able to pair it but it is not syncing, you can also take a look at the troubleshooting in this other help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Just keep in mind that I can't guarantee that they'll work, but you can give it a try.

Let me know how it goes!

I have a Redmi Note 5 Pro and I just bought a Charge 3. I realized that the Redmi is not on the list of compatible devices, after buying the fitbit. I am able to sync calls, but am not able to get any other notifications (whatsapp, facebook, email, calendar etc.) The error message on the phone reads, " Notification service not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker."

I have restarted multiple times and have not been able to get the notifications on my phone.

Is there anything else I should try?

Not that it helps but I have the same issue. It's really annoying.

Hey @Tuckers1967, is it great to see new faces around! Since the Xiaomi RedMi Note 5 Pro isn't on the list of compatible devices, I'm afraid that you might experience syncing, not getting notifications and connected GPS issues. However, the fact that your phone isn't on the list of compatible devices, doesn't mean that your Charge 2 won't work with it. Let me go ahead and suggest you to follow the troubleshooting in this help article: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone

I can't guarantee that it'll work but you can give it a try. 😉

HI,

Actually I have got it working. What I had to do is turn permissions on and auto start the fitbit app on my phone. So all is good.

Thanks for the update @Tuckers1967! Sounds great that your Charge 2 is syncing with your Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. I appreciate you have shared that tip, it might help other users with the same inconvenience, to solve it.

Anyone having issues with connecting their charge 2 with their Android phone. Please update the watch by connecting it first to a Windows computer. It might take a while but it will connect. Once it is connected it will ask you to update the watch. Once updated the phone will connect.
