I've recently upgraded to the Huawei p20 and it won't sync with my charge 2...pretty frustrating to say the least!!! Had i known i would of never bought a fitbit. Surely they should be compatible with ALL popular handsets atm. Not a happy bunny fitbit!!

I had the same problem, try restarting the Fitbit (plug it In and hold the button down) and restarting the phone. 

 

Found the overall Fitbit app quite clunky on the P20 and the sync isn't very regular.

I have the same phone and although it will sync I can't get notifications to the Fitbit which I had really relied on since I am often away from my desk and my phone around the office. It was great when I knew my phone was ringing or I had a calendar reminder pop up on my wrist. Come on Fitbit! Let's make this work!

I had the same issue with notifications  You gave to disable privacy encryption to receive notifications.
