I have been using fitbits for years. When I lost my charge 4 in an airport this summer, I held out until the charge 6 was available. I'm now trying to set up my charge 6, but I first have to migrate my fitbit account to google. Low and behold, I have a VERY old fitbit account associated with my google account.
Chat support says it will take a whole week to delete the old account, and in the mean time, I can't set up my new device. This does not make sense to me! Is there any other channel I can go through to get the old account deleted immediately?

Hello @h1ayli and welcome to the Community. I'm sorry, but there is no way to delete your account immediately. Help article There is a grace period that lets you recover your account if you change your mind. I'm interpreting the Help article different from Support. You can't recover an account after seven days, but it can take 30 days or more to fully delete your account. I don't know when you will be able to use your current email address for a Google account. Your VERY old Fitbit account has all your daily and lifetime accomplishments. If I were you, I would migrate that somewhat "dormant" account to a Google account, so you can activate your Charge 6 as soon as possible.
Just to clarify something. You older account is a Fitbit account. It sounds like you use Gmail as your email account. I haven't migrated yet, so I have a Fitbit account with a Gmail address.
