The only way I can be assured that my Inspire HR will track all my steps is to wear it on my ankle!  However, this takes away all of the other benefits of the tracker because it doesn't vibrate hard enough for me to know if I get a notification or a call or have reached my steps goal.  VERY disapointing.  Makes me wish my Flex 2 had not died!!

I have a charge device and a charge 2hr when I jog the charger 2hr is coming up with 10% less steps. I wear both together next to each other. I have done this for 5 days and just quit using the hr unit. Can this be corrected? I feel like I wasted my money on the charge 2hr

Wearing it in your sock  helped me. I took off the band

@jimmyrr which one is correct.

Have you done a step count test?

Start on the right foot, count every left foot. That compare to the tracker which should read twice what you counted

Mine picks up better when I move my arms but still gets most of my steps when I don't swing my arms.  However, several times a day it will just sit there on the same number and not move for a couple of minutes.  Like this morning when I got up it didn't show any steps for several minutes.  It did it again at work today while I was walking around. It's very frustrating.  My arms were not still or holding anything when it stopped moving either.

I work in retail and walk ALL DAY but I have noticed that the number of steps counted have almost halved  in last 5 or 6 months, also it never seems to count my daily walk of 15 mins each way to sandwich shop at lunch time..Fitbit has had its day I think

What I used to do when I was working in my other job is buy a bigger strap and wear my Fitbit on my ankle. 100% this would Court every single step.wearing it in my wrist now I find it very disheartening when I go food shopping as pushing a trolly doesn’t count the steps. I have know to go round a massive supermarket for like 2 hours and it has only counted 200 steps.

Many thanks for taking the time to reply, Great minds think alike !

I had come to the same conclusion and after some research on Amazon I found a strap designed for ankle wear. so now I count ALL my steps.

I have the same issue, however I wear mine on my ankle to be sure it counts on my steps. It worked great until the last couple of weeks. It’s less than a year old so I’m not sure what the problem is. It’s an inspire 2

Okay, I’ll try it!

This happens with my tracker all of the time! It will not keep track of steps for a block of time, it can be a dozen steps or literally thousands.  I’ll check the app and see I’ve still got the same amounts as I did an hour before (and then exercise the whole hour), and both the tracker and the app sync and I don’t get those steps I lost.

sometimes, after I’ve noticed it, I will watch both the app and tracker count and after I mess around with it a while it will start counting again, but won’t register everything I did while it wasn’t tracking my steps.

this isn’t user error, as I wear it on my shoe, in my sock or with a band on my ankle.  It has everything to do with the device and nothing to do with the tracker not being moved correctly.

what’s up with these glitches? It makes me constantly have to get the app up and keep checking my screen, waiting for it to work so I can log my activity.

I’ve got the Luxe, but the same issue.  (And a long list of other issues as well).

Great idea.  After thinking about it I just stuck mine in my pocket and it seemed to count steps ok.  Its still annoying as I have severe breathing problems and like to monitor heart rate too.  But as long as it works.

Amazon actually has a strap for the ankle! hard to tell the time but it solves the step counting.
