I recently updated my Charge 3 when my iPhone charge App said it needed an update. As soon as the update was done, it worked for about 5 minutes and then it no longer lets me view the screen. It seems to be having issues reporting things to my phone as well. It went from 44% charge, to 20% charge to 100% charge... It's only a year old and was working fine pre update
