I sometimes forget to tell my Charge 3 that I'm starting an activity (or forget to keep pressing the button to get it to start - why can't it just start?). Sometimes it recognises that I'm doing a workout and sometimes it doesn't. I accumulate active minutes from doing the activity, but lately I have noticed that when I put the activity in afterwards, it takes away active minutes! Why??! I first noticed it doing it with yoga, and then today I did a circuits-style workout, and accumulated 60 active minutes (but my Charge 3 weirdly didn't recognise the workout itself). So I inputted the workout and it recuced my active minutes to 11! That's a huge reduction. Why does it do that? It's frustrating, as I worked quite hard.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Dillpicklekm.
Thanks for the details shared in your post. I understand how you are feeling about this situation and would like to advise that manually logged activities override your device's data and could be the reason why you see your active minutes disappear, this can occur if what your tracker recorded was more intense than what you logged. For more information manually logging activities, see How do I manually log exercises in the Fitbit app?
You can find more information about how the active minutes are calculated in this help article: What are Active Zone Minutes or active minutes on my Fitbit device?
Hope this helps!
