For the last couple of months my fitbit has stopped connecting to my phone and mapping my runs.
It connects and then disconnects as soon as I start running. The notification that GPS is connected comes up on my phone but no maps are produced and only tracks distance, which differs from when it maps

Does the failure occur when the phones screen closes?
Is the Fitbit app running in the back ground at this time?

Not sure i think that could be the issue as it cuts off pretty quick. Do you know how to fix it?

It is so frustrating. It all seemed to stop automatically tracking mapping when they did the big update. I am not happy at all.
Apparently we need to have the app open on our ph for the mapping to work now. It doesn't always work this way either, and sometimes it doesn't map the entire walk. I hope they fix it soon.
