Merging data from Strava and fitbit

I use Strava on my phone to record my running and biking. It contains all the data, including routes, etc. But the information that is missing is heart rate. Is there a way to get that information from Fitbit (I have a charge 3)? Should I record activity on Fitbit and Strava both and then somehow merge it? What are my options?

Let me help you with this. You can upload your Fitbit data to Strava but it is up to them is they can read/display heart rate data from Fitbit. You can refer to their help site article here for instructions and more information.
