My Charge 2 will not sync

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Charge 2 has not been used for a few months [my charge cable was stolen and it took quite a while to get a replacement]. It has now charged up successfully, but will not sync to the App on my Android phone.

I have followed all the suggestions without success 😞 [The issue may be that the date on the Fitbit is still in October and the app thinks [correctly] it is now in February of a different year?]

I have followed the instructions on resetting a Charge 2. I hold in the button until I get the logo and version number. However, after that nothing appears to happen, and when I turn the Charge back on, it is still showing the same old data??

Where can I go from here??

@IvorG Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community! Sorry to hear that your tracker isn't syncing and thank you for troubleshooting this issue from your side. You can try going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.

Let me know how it goes!

Thanks for this response.

In the end I managed to get the fitbit to reset. I also uninstalled the app on my phone, restarted the phone and then reinstalled the app. I checked all the settings once more, and they tried the sync again. This time, after a couple of false starts, it was successful 🙂

It seems now that everything is working as expected. Thanks again for getting back to me.

Hi,

My Charge 2 stopped syncing on both my S4 and S9 mobiles yesterday morning. I followed your instructions above, but was unsuccessful. Currently Bluetooth on my S4 is not detecting my Charge 2 at all and my S9 is struggling to find it (sometimes it does, sometimes not). But even when it is paired (or appears paired), my Charge 2 still wont sync, giving the message “sync error, please try again”.

any help will be much appreciated.

Regards
