My Fitbit Charge 3 won’t work

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Less than 48 hours after the last software update my Fitbit stopped working. The Screen is blank and the green light at the back is off. The button still vibrates on and off the charger. I have charged it, pressed the button on the side for 15 seconds both on and off the charger and nothing happens.

I had the same issue.  Was told by support I would need a new one, as it was out of warranty.  😞

At this moment, I’ve reached the limits of what I can do for you here on the public community forums, so I've contacted our Support Team on your behalf to look into this issue further and provide you with some options. Hi there @jmhanson, welcome on board. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 3 stopped working and that none of the steps provided by our Support Team could fix it.  We acknowledge the limitation we have on our part particularly on what you have experienced. We‘re taking into consideration your comments and sentiments with regards to our products and services.

Thanks for your question about why we offered a discount towards a new Fitbit product instead of a replacement of your existing Fitbit product. Our limited warranty provides repair or replacement of products that have a defect while still in the warranty period. Your device is out of the warranty period, and therefore is not eligible for repair or replacement, but we want to offer you a discount to thank you for your loyalty to Fitbit.

For more information about our warranty, see fitbit.com/legal/returns-and-warranty.

I understand a device being out of warranty.  My issue is with my device no longer working after upgrading the firmware.  If it was just my device, I would chalk it up to single failure and would probably purchase a replacement.  However, when there are significant posts all reporting the same issues after upgrading, that is on FitBit to fix.    Is there a working firmware version?  One that actually went through even a limited QA process?
