My Fitbit app shows a Fitbit advertisement whenever I sync

It is frustrating to be forced to watch a Fitbit advertisement before I can sync and see my activity.

There is an “X” to close the ad but that doesn’t work and the ad stays there for over 10 seconds

Firbit customer satisfaction FAIL!

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @TelcoTom, hope you're doing great! Thanks for taking the time to report this situation. Smiley Happy

You can tap the ad, and it should go away. I appreciate your feedback in regards of the recent ad that has appeared in the app. I understand your position and will make sure to forward it to our team so they can take action.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your opinion, if there's anything else you might want to add, please feel free to reply.

How pathetic that Fitbit would choose to put advertisements in an app that was included in paid for with the watch or tracker that we bought from your company, that's just ridiculous

Are you using the official Fitbit app?  I have never had an ad show up for me in the app.

Thanks for jumping up here @Charge2zzz, welcome to the forums! I'm on the same boat than @SunsetRunner (I'm glad to see you around!), haven't gotten any ad so far while using the Fitbit app. Can you share a picture of the ad?

Keep in mind that this has been reported already to our team, however, I'd like to request a picture of the ad that has been showing up on your app so I can forward it to our team. Smiley Very Happy

Looking forward to your reply!

You're not alone, TelcoTom.

I have seen those ads, too. A very poor user experience

I finally saw an ad for the first time inside the app. When starting the app, the ad popped up over the dashboard. I didn't think to get a screenshot of it, and hitting the X in the corner did close it.

I vote nay on advertisements on the app too, Makes me want to use the Apple watch. An OCCASIONAL email suffices.
