Hi just had a new Fitbit for my birthday and I have connected to my app. How do I register my new product to ensure warranty is covered

No need to register it.  Fitbit can tell when you started using it.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
