No difference in Vibration settings between Normal and Strong-Charge 3

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just got the special edition charge 3 today, upgraded from the 2.  I noticed the Normal and Strong Vibration settings are exactly the same strength!!
The reason I noticed this is that the vibrations are too loud! So I went to adjust the settings.. and discovered there is no difference between the two.  It must be stuck on strong because it's so much louder than my charge 2 vibrations ... That's annoying enough when I'm alone, now every time I'm in public or with friends it's going to be highly disruptive ... bzzzt bzzzt bzzzt... Its so loud!  Especially if in a quiet place like a meeting, library, or classroom, or I know friends who will get annoyed if we are just hanging out and talking.. Kinda sucks FitBit ... I'd like to keep notifications turned on, but want them super subtle and discreet.

Is Fitbit aware of this? and can it be resolved?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @NatoriSatori.

I'm sorry to hear the vibrations of your Fitbit Charge 3 are too loud. Thank you for trying to resolve the issue before contacting us.

This is not an expected behavior. If you haven't done it already, please restart your Tracker by following these steps.

If this doesn't help, you can perform a long restart:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again

@EdsonFitbit I’ll try that… But I think you completely missed the part about there being absolutely no difference between normal and strong setting. I’m not the only one experiencing this I’ve come across a few others on this message board her face the same problem. Even exchanged the device for a new one and still no change between normal and strong.
What does Fitbit have to say about that?

Thanks for your response @NatoriSatori.

Definitely, there should be a difference when selecting between normal and strong vibration. This information has been forwarded to our team to take in consideration. Once any update be available, it will be communicated as soon as possible.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

I am also experiencing the same problem and have reset the device. Both normal and strong vibration settings are exactly the same. Is this a software issue that Fitbit is fixing? Thank you in advance for the guidance!
