No display on Charge 3

Even though there is a pulse notice felt with Charge 3 and green lights pulsate on the back there is no display on the face of Charge 3.  Not even when I plug it into the charger.  What is the problem?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @retirednurse.

I am sorry to hear the screen on your Charge 3 won't turn on. Thanks for the details shared and I am here to help. I recommend trying the following:

  1. Restart the device: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  2. Make sure your device's firmware is updated: How do I update my Fitbit device?
  3. Change a clock face: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?
  4. Long restart:
  • Connect the device to the charging cable.
  • While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  • The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration
  • The device turns off.
  • The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  • Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  • Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

By the way, I've moved your post to Charge 3 board so we can keep our forums organized.

Let me know how it goes.

This is a KNOWN problem with the Fitbit Charge 3 and Fitbit is not doing anything to resolve it!!! I am very upset with this. My Charge 3 is just over a year old and the warranty is over and I can’t see the screen at all. It happened just after the warranty ran out. Fitbit has offered 35% off it I want to buy a new one! Not likely....😡

Nothing shows on the face, not even the battery image.

And Fitbit won’t do anything if your Device is over a year old (mine started doh g this at 13 months old!)

no display on mine either. They say to do the restart and a battery icon will display, etc, but if the display isn’t working of course there will be no ‘battery icon display’. Hello?  It’s been days without display and there are no answers here that work. There is no ‘brightness’ option on the app.
poor quality.
