Non replaceable battery

The battery for my Charge 4 is finished. Confirmed through user support - it's dead. No problem, I figured I could replace the battery since the watch was working fine.

Well wouldn't you know, FitBit does not provide repair or replacement batteries - the one year warranty is expired. Their "solution" is to throw the watch away and purchase a new one with a rebate!

So basically I purchased a disposable watch without being informed I was purchasing a throwaway product. I would NEVER have purchased a throwaway - let alone for this price - and am informing all my friends NEVER to buy a FitBit unless they are ready to throw it away as soon as the battery starts failing.

I understand your frustration, but I expect you would have trouble finding any modern wearable electronics with replaceable battery.  I expect the many parts fit into the small space would make replacing anything, then getting all the parts back together right, would present a major challenge, let alone destroying any water resistance.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Funny, all my electronics with batteries have replaceable batteries. And I didn’t think I’d replace it myself. I was willing to pay to get it done.
