Hi there
Happy Holidays! I was on vacation in Costa Rica for a week. All these seven days, I had issue of syncing the tracker. Even when I tried to go to the site online, I was getting error as if my device got corrupted. I had to answer that I am a human, not a robot. I don't understand why. As soon as I came home, all of the days got updated and synced well. What's happening when the tracker is not in "HOME ZONE" ? A detailed explaination is well appreciated.
thanks
Bhuvana

Hi, @Bhuvana! That's very strange. I've never had any issues syncing while on holiday. It may be an issue with the internet you were connected to and firewalls or website restrictions they had in place.

Hi @MakMak: I don't think so. I even had access to some of the secured sites while there. For me, this was the first time, I had issues when on vacation.

@Bhuvana I'm not sure how you where accessing the internet.
Syncing does not require the website, but requires a connection to the fitbit servers.
Could your motel or whatever network have had a firewall that had the door your app users closed.?
As for the prove your human, I sometimes get this at my home.

Hi @Rich_Laue: Yes. I agree. but it requires internet connection to access via bluetooth. I was getting "Tracker not found" message in my android.

@Bhuvana the Bluetooth is used to get your fitbit data to the Fitbit server in the cloud.
Your app or the website gets your fitbit data from the Fitbit server in the cloud, not your tracker. So yes the Internet is needed to both sync and access your data.
During a walk/run/etc your app can be used as a remote display of your tracker, and this does not require internet.

Sorry @Trepanner I'm not sure which of the several problems that is being reffered to. Tracker not found, or wont sync?
Do you have internet access?

I have the same thing. So when I go away normally my sync adjusts the time to the local time on my fitbit. Just come to spain (with my new phone) and everything was working when I left, arrived here and the sync has stopped working. When you pull down in the app to sync it just says 'Looking' then fails. My mobile has internet data, cant understand why this is happening.
