Hi @Needsteps84.  Welcome to the Fitbit forums.

Were you pushing a shopping cart?  If so, steps are often not detected because the tracker on your wrist cannot sense any movement.  Fitbit, and all wrist-worn trackers, sense steps from the normal swinging of the arms while walking.  You can probably get good step count by putting tracker in a pocket, but without the heart rate data for that time.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hey @Needsteps84, let me give you a warm welcome to the Community! Just like @JohnnyRow said, if you were pushing a shopping cart or your hands were busy carrying the shopping bags, for example, your Charge 2 didn't track all of your steps 'cause the Charge 2 records steps also based on the movement of your arms. For further information, please take a look at the information in this help article: How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?

Let me know if you have further questions!
