When i go for a 5k run my Fitbit Charge 3 says it's only 3.49k. I have measured the distance another way and it's definitely 5k. It's very fustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

Same problem! I did the TLV night run 2020.
It is 10km, and my fitbit showed 8.46km. Bedside the distance, it also doesn't show the correct pace.
Looks like Google didn't do due diligence right this divice is absolute Not reliable!!!
Anything I can do to restart it? Something else I can do??!

I was talking to someone the other day and they said it's cause there is not built in GPS and it goes on our stride/steps. 🤔 Still very fustrating, think I'll be buying something with a built in GSP.

I have a problem with walking with the fitbit 3 alledgedly connected to my pixel 3's gps. Today, I walked about 4.5 miles, but the fitbit said I only walked for 3.85 miles. I don't know that I need a device with a built in gps ... my phone should be adequate. I believe that today's distance is 4.5 miles ... at least it's been 4.5 miles for the past 20 years .... but maybe we had a small earthquake and my turn around point is closer than it used to be. I've been thinking about a Versa 2 but maybe I should start looking at another brand to see if they are more accurate. On the other hand, it looks like Google has bought Fitbit, so maybe there will be a software upgrade in the future.

I have the same exact problem most if not all of my runs that i go on with my fitbit are undertracked by a mile or more every time, it is very frustrating especially when trying to track pace.
