I am certain a version of this questions has been asked before. But I don't understand why sometimes the fitbit does not log steps. When I am running the treadmill or doing a proper outside run, it is very accurate (I often count as I run, and am impressed with the count). But if I just get up from my desk to walk around the hallway in my building, it severely severely undercount. It is as if it is groggy and won't 'wake up'. It does log some steps, but perhaps 30-50% of what it should. I even regularize my arm movements as if running and it still undercounts. Any ideas? What should I do? (This is very irritating given my ongoing "challenges" with my brother!)
