I updated my charge 3 software and the notification vibrations stopped working. I've reset my device numerous times, sleep mode is off, do not disturb is off.

After reading through some messages, it seems the firmware update has cause a fair amount of issues, rather than fix anything.

FitBit, what are you doing to resolve these issues for all of us? Please do not respond with a boilerplate message

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Jblu87.

I am sorry to hear you no longer receive any notifications, goal celebrations or reminders to move after updating your Charge 3. I am here to help. I recommend confirming that "Do not disturb" or "Sleep" setting is turned off: press and hold the button on your device. Tap a setting to turn it off. When you turn off the setting, the icon appears dim with a line through it.

You may also try restarting your tracker by following the steps from this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

For more information about reminders to move, see What's a Fitbit reminder to move? To confirm the steps to set up notifications, see How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?

Let me know how it goes, I'll be around.

I'm having the same issue. I get the reminders to move and goals reached notifications but not any text, call, or email notifications. I have both sleep and DND settings off and have restarted my Fitbit more than once and it still isn't working. There are things I like about the update but not at the expense of getting those notifications.

I wanted to give an update to my post.

After contacting FitBit support, they very quickly sent me a 35% discount code for a new FitBit (not all models are included). Although customer support did not state this, it seems the latest firmware update caused the feedback from the watch (for notifications etc) to stop working. My watch was beyond the warranty period, and FitBit still sent the discount code.

I spoke with tech support two days ago and they didn’t offer any discount. My device is out of warranty by two months!

I got mine working now. I clicked my account button in the top left corner, then on my charge 3 device. I then went to the bottom third where it says, "Notifications" and then selected "app notifications" from the middle of the screen. I think I might have toggled a couple of the apps just to change something and then I put it them all back to the way I had them before and I immediately started getting notifications for my apps.

I don't know if it would work for anyone else but it worked for me so maybe give it a try?

This same thing has happened to me - ever since I updated firmware, I receive no notifications/vibrations on the tracker even though very setting is as it should be according to the troubleshooting guide.  I rebooted the tracker and it worked FOR LESS THAN 24 HOURS.  I've tried rebooting several times since & it will not work.  So, so frustrating!!

Try this, it worked for me.

1. Delete the Charge 3 from your Fitbit App.

2. On your Fitbit Tracker go to Settings -> About -> Clear User Data

3. Re setup your Fitbit Tracker to the Fitbit App.

Let me know if it works for you! 🙂

I got the same answer from the techs I spoke to.  but after my Charge 4 arrived I was getting the same issue. New Tech had me tried this and it fixed the Charge 4 and Charge 3.

1. Delete the Charge 3 from your Fitbit App.

2. On your Fitbit Tracker go to Settings -> About -> Clear User Data

3. Re setup your Fitbit Tracker to the Fitbit App.

Let me know if it works for you!
