How is this still a problem? My watch has not been working correctly since October. It’s ridiculous you haven’t come up with a solution for this issue. I have done all your troubleshoot tips multiple times. I’ve been a faithful Fitbit customer for years and this is annoying.

Can't really say @Aaesb930 your asking about a problem with the Fitbit app on your phone, without adding the phone model.

I’m not asking about the Fitbit app on my phone actually. I’m asking as to why my Fitbit doesn’t receive notifications from my phone, specifically text messages. It stopped working with an iPhone update on October which was a known issue they Fitbit acknowledged and provided troubleshooting strategies however I have not seen that those have worked for many people. I could be wrong

Have you checked the settings on the tracker.
If they are correct then we need to look at the app and the phone. Yes your asking about the app on the phone.

I have the same problem with my charge 3. I've just updated my iphone to ios 13.3.1 with the hope that it might fix it but it hasn't. It is annoying as it worked perfectly before October.

@Aaesb930 please stop posting you're personal info.
The reason the tracker isn't receiving notifications is because the phone isn't sending any.
It is well known that their is an issue with text messages on the latest iOS.

This is very annoying. I have been told this is a version problem. I have a Samsung 10 & the Charge 3 is only using Version 9

I have tried everything I was told to do to fit the notification problem but nothing works. Getting very annoyed as I want to be able to get messages on my Fitbit

I had the same problem. But I FINALLY got it to work. I believe the Fitbit update that just came out might fix it but you have to go through all the steps and restart everything again (it didn't just work on it's own). I also had to be sure to go into the notification center on my iPhone (settings>notifications>messages app), select messages app (I had only been checking the Fitbit app settings before this) and saw that under options my "show previews" was set to "never". So I reset that to "when unlocked". I had received text messages prior to the iOS 13 update with this setting set to "never" (I don't need people reading my texts) but it seems it needs to be switched to work with the watch (just my guess). I then redid all the steps you've already done a bunch of times (forget device, re-sync, restart, etc). The text messages finally came through after restarting the charge 3 by plugging it into the charger and holding the button for 8 seconds; I got a smiley face symbol. I also rebooted my charge 3 by going into the settings on the touchscreen, scrolling all the way down to "about" and selecting it, then scroll all the way to the bottom of that list where it says, "reboot device" (settings>about>reboot device). I have no idea what it is that fixed my text messages, but I hope you can try some of what I did and perhaps it will work for you. I also hard reset my iPhone and that is when I started getting my Instagram notifications again.

Would you mind telling me step by step what you did to correct this frustrating problem? I did everything the woman stated above and still have nothing. I have been dealing with this problem since September and i am ready to just throw it away.
I appreciate any help,
melissa

Of course, I was in the same boat! In my phone I went to
settings-notifications- messages, I changed the setting “Show preview” to
“Always”. On the watch, I then went to “Settings”- “About” - “Reboot the
device”. I then plugged it in to the charger and held down the button for 8
seconds until it reset. Then has someone send a test text and it worked.
Good luck, I know the feeling!
