My charge 2 will show me who has txt me but no longer actually showing the message. I have samsung S9 and I dont know why it's been doing this for 2 weeks. I have checked all the setting in the phone and the fitbit app but nothing is working for me.

I have the same problem and I have a Samsung S8. I did go into the menu and into "Notifications" and turned on the "Enable Transliteration" to try to solve the issue, but that didn't work. It's a bit frustrating, because it worked perfectly fine until about a week ago!

Same issue here. I can see who texted, but not the message. I'm on a Pixel 3 XL.

I talked to some reps on the phone 2 weeks ago. They informed me that with the latest system update on my iphone 8 text messages were disabled. Supposedly they were working on a "fix" that would be out in a few days. But....I am totally bummed that one of the features I bought the fitbit charge 2 for and then proceeded to get used to it, does not work now. Very poor support for those customers who don't need a new fitbit, but may be forced into one.

So, this sounds like a Fitbit issue and not a phone issue - it's affecting Apple, Android, Pixel.... My daughter has a Charge 3 and it isn't having these issues. C'mon, Fitbit! Figure this out!! 🙂

I'm having the exact same problem. I'm guessing it's the update to the app that caused this. I'm on S8.

I'm having the same issue. I have a OnePlus 6 Android phone. Seems like a system problem with the device.

Got an app update this morning...and now I don't get any text notification at all. Fantastic.

I'm having the same issue and found this thread looking for a solution. I have a note 9.
Theres a setting to not show messages and only the sender, but I double checked that it is not turned on that way. Very frustrating! I rely on it constantly when my phone is nearby but not on me and I'm busy with something else.

This has been the same issue for me for the last two weeks. I can see the name of who texted me, but no message. Running Andriod and I looked at the reviews there. It appears there are a lot of people not happy with this latest change. Not sure why it is taking so long to resolve or push out another update. May need to look at a different watch to replace this one.

Hi this is also happening to me. It's been driving me mad going through my phone checking everything. I had an online chat with an advisor and they went through various things with me then told me it must be my Fitbit and as it was still in guarantee they would send me a new one or 50% off a new one. I took the replacement which I have received and it does exactly the same! So now I am waiting for a fix to the problem. It's very annoying as I have the fitbit to read my messages without picking up my phone!

Worth noting that I had this same problem after an update a year or so ago, and they dragged their feet fixing it then as well. Don't hold your breath for a quick turnaround - I think once my Charge 2 dies, I'm out of the Fitbit world.

Same issue. Wasn't sure if it was my new phone but seems I am not alone. Have new Samsung A50. Shows who.messaged but no details despite different settings and reinstalling. Frustrating. Was a favorite feature. Hope it is fixed

I haven’t been able to receive notifications for months. Have an iPhone with compatible software. Also you can’t send an email straight to Fitbit! It has to be a twitter message and I don’t have a twitter account so..

I think that’s when I stopped getting notifications also.. it’s really aggravating. My wife and I both have iPhones but hers still works. Not sure if she got the update though.

I talked to tech support via online chat and they confirmed that this is a known problem, but there's no estimate of when it will be fixed. Super annoying.
